Online magazine stage223 hits the road with LiveU Solo for interactive onboard streaming
The Challenge
With all big industry events cancelled during the COVID-19 pandemic, the event tech magazine stage223 looked for new ways to bring the latest industry news to their readers. The idea was born to go on a road trip, visiting manufacturers and other industry professionals in various cities all over Germany. To engage the online audience in the conversations, the entire roadshow was to be streamed live on YouTube.
The Solution
tf:broadcast, the production company behind the interactive roadshow, turned to LiveU Solo to go live from the road. LiveU's mobile hardware encoder allowed the team to turn their van into a "studio on wheels" using a compact, portable set-up. Throughout the entire 2,500 km long roadshow, the Solo delivered a reliable stream. Even in remote locations with unstable networks, the stream didn’t stop for a single second.

"
"LiveU Solo allowed us to go live from across the country including the Elbe Tunnel, a tunnel that runs more than 30 meters under the River Elbe in Hamburg. The fact that the unit kept streaming without any interruptions under the ground reassured us that LiveU technology was the best choice for our project. There were no disconnects and changing the bitrate didn’t harm the stream."
